Wang Qiuxia is Deputy Director of the Art Center of Ceramic Research affiliated with the Institute of China Light Industry. She is a Master of Arts and Crafts of Jiangxi Province，Executive Director of the Provincial Craft Arts Association，and Vice President of the Female Ceramists Association of Jingdezhen City. 1960 Born in city of Jingdezhen. 1977 Began to learn ceramic decoration from her father and specialized in mixed glaze techniques. 1993 Her mixed glaze work of Si Zhi Tu won the first prize AT the First Fine Arts Contest of Jiangxi Province. 1994 The work of Red Cliff won the first prize in the International Ceramic Arts Competition held in Jingdezhen. Appraised as National Arts and Crafts master and awarded the first prize for creative works. Participated in an exhibition at the Singapore Art Museum. 1996 The mixed glaze work Ming Le Yuan won third prize at the Second Provincial Arts and Crafts Competition. 1998 The work of Herding Cattle over the Mountains won an honorary award in the Sixth National Ceramic Art Design Innovation Contest. 2001 Her mixed glaze work Searching for Peach Blossom Village won the silver prize of at the Third National Fine Arts and Crafts Exhibition. 2000 Her thesis of A Brief Discussion of Continuity and Innovation in the Traditional Raiment of Ceramic Art was collected by the series Marching Towards A New Century. 2004 The work of Ya Ji Tu won gold prize at the Fifth National Fine Arts and Crafts Exhibition held Hangzhou.
